Behaviour management plays a key role within the classroom and there are a number of techniques used by teachers on a day to day basis. I will look at these techniques in detail, analysing and evaluating them with the work of behaviour management authors and also taking into account my SE observations. During my SE I was put into a Year 6 Class.This essay is about effective teaching and in particular effective behaviour management in primary school classrooms. As a primary teacher myself, through my experience in teaching at primary schools, I noticed that even during the best lessons, with the most experienced and talented teachers, there are incidents of problematic behavior.The integral part of classroom management is creating positive report with the students, setting high expectations for them and encouraging them to succeed by using an engaging curriculum. I believe that this approach minimizes problems associated with behavior within the classroom.
